Consulting on the drone threat.

Feldwache advises security providers, public authorities and operators of critical sites. We show you how to detect drones, report them correctly and document them properly. Our experience comes from Ukraine and from site security in Germany. Based in Erfurt, Germany.

The situation

Drone sightings are increasing. Procedures are missing.

Drones are sighted more and more often over factories, power plants, public buildings and events. The German Federal Criminal Police Office counted more than 1,000 suspicious drone flights in 2025. Most operators and security providers have no fixed procedure for this. It is not settled who is responsible, who gets called and what goes into the report.

In Ukraine, procedures for detection, reporting and response have evolved under wartime conditions since 2022. We adapt these procedures to German law and to everyday site security.

Background

Two sources of experience.

Jan Bamesberger has travelled to Ukraine regularly since the war began in 2022, most recently to Zaporizhzhia. There he keeps contact with people who develop, operate, teach and defend against drone systems. They include members of the Ukrainian armed forces. We pass on reports from these contacts anonymously and without operational details.

Since [JAHR] we have worked with security providers in Germany on patrols, checkpoints, incident reports and shift documentation. From this work we know the routines of site security, what clients expect and where documentation typically fails.
